Louisiana Rare Coins & Metals

I went in with 10 UNCERCULATED 1881 MORGAN DOLLARS. They offered me $18.00 each. They said that they had been polished and were only worth what they were offering. Of course I said no, because I knew they were Uncirculated and were worth more than $18.00 each.

The people at Louisiana gold & coins were outstanding. Mrs Nina Wager went above and beyond for me and my mother. She is an outstanding coin dealer. If you need some help with your purchase or if you are bringing coins in to price, Mrs Nina wager is the woman you want to see.

Both Kristin and Rachel were patient, professional and very helpful. Kristin would determine the quality of the gold items I brought in (14K, 18K, or 24K) then priced each item on a piece of paper so I could determine what I wanted to do. Many items turned out to be much more valuable than I thought and was able to keep the more sentimental ones til some other time. I was able to sell some 14K, 18K, and a few 24K items for a nice price (Gold was up that day as well) and left with a smile on my face! Drove by their store thousands of times in the last 10-15 years, so glad I stopped by recently. From my experience, the ladies did me right. If I need to sell gold, I will most definitely stop at Louisiana Gold & Coin!!!

With the price of silver approaching $90/oz. I decided to sell some bars I’d had for 45 years. Louisiana Gold and Coin paid a very fair price and were a pleasure to deal with. Unlike one of their local competitors who tried to rip me off by paying only 80% of spot. Definitely recommended!

This is the best coin shop in town. I started collecting a while back, and this has been my go to place ever since. I’ve tried other places in town and they just don’t match up. There’s great service here, and the workers are great. They can help you find what you need very quickly. The prices here are very reasonable. For example a Silver Eagle’s premium online would cost about $7-8, but here it was only a couple bucks, saving me tons of cash. 10/10 would recommend!

They gave us the best deals around Prairieville

We had a wonderful experience here today! The owner and her staff were patient, kind, and understanding of my elderly mother’s situation. We wanted to sell some dental gold from my late father’s practice. The owner even took the time to break the gold out of models to be able to take all of it. They were very fair and we are thrilled!

My 9 year old recently started a coin collection. Everytime we have stepped foot in this business, they have been wonderful with him. They take their time and show him special coins and bring items out from the back. Not only are they extremely kind, the prices there have been GREAT. They could have taken advantage of us, being novice collectors, but they haven't. Definitely recommend.

This is the best coin shop in the city. The ladies who work there are very nice and knowledgeable and will work with you to get a fair price. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Go see Jeannie at LG&C. She’s always so sweet and patient with me. I’d give her 100 stars if it were an option. This is my go to place in Baton Rouge, and the best LCS in town. The staff is always kind, professional, and knowledgeable and there’s a lot to look at in their cases.

Today was my first visit on recommendation from a local jewler. I brought in some gold rings to be appraised. The whole process was very smooth and I appreciate the kindness I received from the staff as someone who had never done this before. I appreciated having everything explained to me and what my options were. Ultimately, I did sell the rings during this visit and I am very happy with the choice. Thank you for making this visit a positive one!
